24-Hour Cancellation Policy
Ascend Health is a high-demand clinic and many of our providers maintain active waitlists. Our clinicians operate on a fee-for-service model, and late cancellations or missed appointments directly impact access to care for other clients. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, will be subject to the full appointment fee. This policy will be strictly enforced moving forward.
WorkplaceNL Notice
Ascend Health is no longer accepting new physiotherapy or massage therapy claims through WorkplaceNL. This change does not affect current clients actively receiving treatment under an approved WorkplaceNL claim. Existing approved treatment plans will continue to be honoured.

Kathryn graduated from Dalhousie University with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy in 2018. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 2011, with a double major in Gender Studies and Communication Studies, and a Master of Public Health in 2016 from Memorial University.
Kathryn has completed post-graduate courses in female urinary incontinence, chronic pain management, tempomandibular joint (TMJ) management, exercise prescription, and holds advanced certifications in functional dry needling.

Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Alyssa moved to Newfoundland at the age of 14. Alyssa graduated from the comprehensive Massage Therapy course in 2020 and is in good standing with The College of Massage Therapy and The Newfoundland and Labrador Massage Therapy Association.
In addition to being a Registered Massage Therapist, Alyssa is a BScN Student, Recovery Instructor and Certified Personal Trainer and Sports Nutritionist within the International Sports Sciences Association and is an active member of the Studio Versō community.

Originally from New Brunswick, Jeff completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at St. Francis Xavier University and his Master of Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University. Jeff worked as a physiotherapist in Halifax, Nova Scotia before moving to Newfoundland to practice.

Lisa’s journey into sports physiotherapy began in her hometown of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, where her passion for sports and helping others intersected. After completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology with Honours at Memorial University, she pursued a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University to deepen her understanding of human movement and rehabilitation techniques.
Her career took her to Halifax Nova Scotia, where she honed her skills over the past six years, specializing in sports physiotherapy. During this time, Lisa immersed herself in the field, obtaining her Certificate in Sport Physiotherapy and continually seeking opportunities to expand her expertise.
What truly sets Lisa apart is her hands-on experience with athletes at all levels. Liz grew up in Clarenville, NL, where her multi-sport background led her to earn a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) at Memorial University in 2019 while competing on the varsity track and field team. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in 2024.
Before becoming a Physiotherapist, Liz initially pursued Occupational Therapy and worked as an OT in PEI and Newfoundland, bringing a unique, function-based perspective to her physiotherapy practice. Steph has a love for helping people which has led her to the career she has today. She graduated the Massage Therapy program at Eastern College in St. John’s in 2015. Since then she has been practicing in a clinical setting and is an active member with the CMTNL and NLMTA.
